Don-Ho Chien

Senior Director

Mr. Chien joined Century Bridge in 2007 as an Associate and was one of the first employees hired by the firm. He progressed to become the Director of Underwriting, leading the team on all the potential investment due diligence work. The team’s area of expertise includes market research, financial modelling, and investment analysis.

Prior to joining Century Bridge, Mr. Chien was a consultant with Encon, Inc., a Taipei-based investment consulting firm, where he specialized in structuring public-private real estate investment partnerships in Taiwan and China. One of his projects was leading a $70 million partnership between Breeze Department Store and Taiwan Rail, comprising over 17,000 square meters (182,986 square feet) of retail space in Taipei Main Station. The project became operational in 2006.

Prior to joining Encon in 2004, Mr. Chien was a civil engineer for the $15 billion Taiwan High Speed Railway Project, where he specialized in viaduct and tunnel construction. He was a member of an international corps of engineers and led over 200 international workers in the construction operation. The project became operational in 2006 and has been highly successful.

Before working on the Taiwan High Speed Railway Project in 2002, Mr. Chien worked with the Kenan Institute Asia in Bangkok, Thailand, where he led a community development team for the Bush-Clinton Tsunami Relief Fund.

Mr. Chien earned a Bachelors degree in Engineering from National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan in 2000, and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007, where he is a member of the International Board of Advisors.
