Century Bridge’s roots go back to the 1970’s, when Tom Delatour, Keith Tucker, and James Gressetts were Partners at KPMG Peat Marwick.  While they each ultimately went on to build highly successful careers in real estate, private equity, investment banking, insurance, and asset management, they have remained investment partners and friends for over 30 years.

In 1985, while a real estate developer in Austin, Texas, James Gressett and his family hosted Dr. Jeffery Jia, then a Chinese exchange student earning his PhD at the University of Texas at Austin, to live with them for two years.  Dr. Jia and the Gressett family have been close ever since, and over the following 23 years, Dr. Jia went on to have a highly successful business career in the United States and China.

It was these foundational pieces that ultimately led to the creation of Century Bridge Capital, which, since its founding, has grown to a team of twelve investment professionals, with offices in Beijing, China and Dallas, Texas.  Our focus is to invest in the growing Chinese real estate sector by forming joint ventures with Chinese real estate development companies to develop properties.  We also make investments directly into privately held Chinese real estate operating companies. Our "on the ground" team of Chinese business professionals allows us to efficiently and effectively source and structure investment opportunities.
